I used the 15mm plossel and fine-tuned the focus for several minutes and couldn't resolve them. Maybe I need to toss in the Barlow lens extension? Or hell, maybe it's my eyes. I'll take reading glasses out there tonight and see if that helps.

You should be able to resolve the bands through a telescope if its the same astroscan we had when we were kids (i think it is.) I don't know about the GRS, but it is smaller than it was (15% or so) than the 80s-90s.

On the positive side the ZenPhoto gallery and WP-plugin are quite well done; easy to install, good flexibility but sensible defaults; no cruft or bloat that I can see yet. Props to the developers.

Interesting. JournalPress will crosspost the text above the fold and the cut line to LJ/DW just fine, but the "read more" link takes you directly here. It didn't crosspost the photo or the rest of the entry. That's probably for the best, as LJ doesn't have/understand the ZenPhoto gallery software I am using. I will have to be more careful with my lj-cuts, because they aren't. They're lj-to-WP-cuts.

Hi Paul

Thanks for all the updates. I'm so sorry to hear that despite his brightened outlook and all the love that surrounded him, Brett was not able to pull through, long shot that it was. I'm very grateful to you for taking the time to track me down so that I could have one last conversation with him.

Brett was my first internet friend. We "met" back in 1993. Through him I came to understand that I was not the weirdo that everyone said I was growing up. In fact, I was probably cool. After all, Brett certainly was cool, and the company he kept was diverse and intelligent and compassionate.

I'm sorry that I cannot be with you all tomorrow, but Brett, and all of you who loved and supported him will most definitely be in my heart and mind.
